McGinnis Resigns

On March 28, 2022, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Texas Pacific Land Corporation (the “Company”) accepted the tendered resignation of Dana McGinnis, a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. McGinnis previously tendered his resignation, subject to Board acceptance, in response to having received less than a majority of the votes cast for his election at the 2021 Annual Meeting, in accordance with the Section 2.10 of the Company’s Amended and Restated Bylaws.

The Board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee has recommended several highly qualified candidates to the Board and the Board is expected to make an appointment to fill the vacancy resulting from Mr. McGinnis’ resignation in the near future.

  1. It’s about time. Now we all wait to hear about the declassified Board. It should not be like pulling teeth to get simple things done in a timely manner. Drag everything out to the last minute, as if it’s “us against them”. Most of the BOD should be jettisoned. Put Larry Goldstein there instead, we’d be a lot better off

  2. I hope that the nomination for his replacement is not another McGinnis or the General. He/she should have to pass the Stahl/Oliver smell test.

  3. not that it matters, but as the ‘feel good’ story of this decade; it appears that any mention of Dana has been removed from TPLs website.

    bon voyage Dana, Mcseeing ya

ps. speaking of the BOD page, does the MS picture remind anyone else of the vampire from the old version of ‘dark shadows’?

  4. I wonder if there will be a used Bentley SUV for sale in San Antonio……..more expensive to own one of those without the $250k director’s fee per year……

    • Dana managed (or used to) a bunch of other peoples money. He is doing ok. Just needed TPL BOD $s to pay for haircuts and to get his toes done. Looking good is feeling good. And money can’t buy that…no wait……
