At $3,300 pre-split??? Paying a 0.43% Dividend??? Other than FOMO what is going to move this higher. Not to say FOMO could add another $1000 to this stock.
In case you missed it 310 Value published “Data Centers in the Permian Basin” can Texas Pacific Land Corp and LandBridge capitalize on trapped Natural Gas ? on Aug 23rd
TPL Short Interest declined by 34,078 shares short covered in the first two weeks of October currently 5.82% with days to cover at 13.6. I believe that equates to around 34 million dollars at the $1000 price point. Don’t you feel sorry for the poor shorts who jumped on board in June jacking the Short Interest from 3.82% to 6% in the last two weeks of June. Let’s see it looks like they sold short at between $717 and $797 a share. And there were no options at that time, correct? Only about 1,336,449 shares shorted to cover as of October 15th!
Do you all know the old joke about how to make a Million in the stock market?
When I Google your question about relationship, I get the following TPL Press Release. LandBridge was created by the Company that owns WaterBridge to manage the land holdings that WaterBridge operates on in West Texas and New Mexico.
Both TPL and LB are analyzed and recommended by an analyst on Seeking Alpha named Leo Nielsen. I would recommend you review his extensive postings WRT both companies.
LB is a mini-TPL, but its royalties from minerals are a bit less as a % of total revenue than TPLs (the video was incorrect in stating LB doesn’t have mineral interests). While both sell brackish water, neither process produced water. They both charge royalties on produced water that cross their land. There is an Area of Mutual Interest that has LB and TPL land, which has reciprocal crossing rights and royalty sharing between LB and TPL.

big sustained change in oil prices/inflation, technological advancements increasing the % of oil recoverable, if natural gas becomes valuable.
Long shot -finding highly valued other uses for the land or water.
Long long long shot- the General comes up with a brilliant idea.

If anybody can add color it would be appreciated.
What is TPL’s relationship, if any, with LandBridge?
Is LB a mini TPL?
Things that seem so simple raise questions.
Thanks

In the second video, he says “this is a company that owns a hundred and eighty seven thousand acres of land, mostly in the Permian Basin…”
No sir, we own nine hundred thousand acres.
