  1. Can you provide some context? I see Donald Glover purchased 10 shares – sorry guess I’m out of the loop?

      • Board Member. Paid yes man and said he would be investing in TPL. That way he’d actually have a stake in the future. Finally invests after it shoots up 20%, but 10 shares isn’t exactly full throated support.

  2. 10 shares are a pittance, you would expect a dollar amount commensurate with his position. $11,000 is what I would expect from his secretary.

  3. Will i am only guessing, it seems that HK/MS are moving shares from one vehicle in the HK family to another as well as doing a bit of acquiring. Could moving from one fund to another be based on new money/redemption or just reallocation?. It also seemed that when he sold x number of shares he also acquired the same x number of shares on the same day at the same price. I guess he sold to himself? Too much of that will make him blind.

  4. I’m guessing that MS buys shares for individually managed accounts and if they move their money away or reinvest it in different products MS has to sell their holdings. At the same time, he invests new money for other accounts into TPL. That is the only thing that makes sense.

  5. 10 shares for a board member is pathetic. But why invest in shares despite them being undervalued if you don’t have to invest a nickel and get free shares and huge compensation by robbing shareholders?

  6. Corporate governance issues aside – has anyone got a ballpark estimate of daily revenue with WTI near $115? The underlying TPL asset is probably doing great this week.

    • Royalty income increase is directly proportional to the price of oil pumped each day, so it should be wonderful at $115 per barrel. We’ll have to wait until May to see how much.

  7. Not much, but better than nothing. Plus, he is up for re-election this year, so perhaps he figured its time he shows how “aligned” he is with shareholders.

Off topic, but my main concern at this stage is that they don’t make an expensive acquisition at these high oil prices.
